About this piece
Gilded Tufted Statement Bed
Both ends of this bed are fully upholstered in a gold-toned button-tufted fabric, framed by a carved wooden border finished with gilding. The result is a bed that reads as one continuous piece of upholstery and carving rather than a wooden frame with a cushion added.
It suits a larger bedroom where a bold, finished look is wanted — the photo shows it alongside a matching upholstered bench.
Wood, finish and final dimensions are confirmed with you on WhatsApp before we build. The fabric colour, the gilding and the height of the headboard can be changed; send a photo of your room if you would like the workshop’s advice on proportions.
How it’s made
Every frame is made from solid wood, with proper joinery and finishing done by the same hands that will answer your questions on WhatsApp. Traditional joinery and careful assembly keep the frame square and quiet under daily movement — the goal is a bed that still feels tight years later, not only on the day of delivery.
